Element Testing Conditions:

  • Applied pressure: 55.2 bar (800 psi)
  • NaCl concentration: 32,000 mg/L (or a mixed solution of 32,000 mg/L NaCl and 5 mg/L Boron)
  • Operating temperature: 25°C (77°F)
  • pH: 8
  • Recovery rate: 8%

Additional Information:

  • Handle RO elements with care and avoid dropping them.
  • Each RO element is wet-tested, preserved in a 1% sodium bisulfite solution, and vacuum-packed in oxygen barrier bags.
  • Store in a cool, dry environment. Avoid freezing and direct sunlight, with storage temperatures below 35°C (95°F).

After Installation:

  • Keep RO elements wet and use a compatible preservative for storage periods longer than 7 days.
  • During initial startup, discard the first 30 minutes of permeate to drain.
  • Ensure that permeate back pressure does not exceed feed pressure.
  • Maintain the RO elements in a clean condition, free from particulate matter, precipitates, or biological growth.
  • Clean the elements if the pressure drop increases by 20% or water permeability decreases by 10%.
  • Use only chemicals that are compatible with the membrane.
